Not quite a techie, will have to get someone here to try those programs you suggested. Thank you. Like you I have free solitaire download no ads issues with the Microsoft Solitare Collection App and when I have looked to see if anyone else free solitaire download no ads experiencing similar issues I saw that it has been going on for years.
The issues I have with the app is that it will freeze up a lot of the time sometimes when it freezes it will then automatically close, also some of the time when it freezes it will freeze up any other programs that might be open at same time. Then there are the ads that they show they will often open full screen automatically but you just get a black screen but you can still hear the sound there is no way of closing this screen either sometimes it automatically closes on its own but most the time you have to turn computer off then on again as when it does go to the black screen you cant even access the task manager.
and then there are times when it will close the blank screen itself but reverts your computer into safe mode. Another issue I find with it is that when it's trying to load it always says it has problems connecting to the internet even though you have an excellent internet connection. I do wonder if Microsoft ignore these issues intentionally so that people will go and buy the premium version as you dot get the ads that cause the issues as I feel that the ads are the problem as a lot of the time it is when they come on that it crashes not only the app but your computer also.

You don't seem at all familiar as perhaps you paid for ms solitaire. The unpaid version runs ads before almost every game. I'm not sure how you couldn't get that fact from the persons questions.
Not sure why a company with a trillion dollar market cap relies on MVP's in the first place. There should be no ads in Microsoft Solitaire Collection, but if you're online then that would be up to the browser.
Have you disabled popups? Some adware might not be detected by your anti-virus. When you suspect you might be infected I would keep on hand Malwarebytes free version and AdwCleaner which are the two most powerful scanners. You can download and run those now. Clean up whatever they find.
Then you'll know you have no adware or other infection and can focus on the browser's popup settings if you are playing the games from a browser. Sometimes you may want to change browsers, like from Edge to Firefox or Chrome which are the three I use interchangeably. This is up to personal preference.
